#533. changes

March 7, 2012

living in two
lives and falling
into a deep third world
crashing in unknown dreams
time is kaleidoscope tantalizing
fragrant and clear and shattered
beat the mirrors into shards of rhythm
between the being and the process of being
which is dancing the sweet thin edge of sorrow

later the cold floor awakens me startling me feet

#426. for daring girl

November 8, 2010

scars are our stories
tears also have their own feel
under our tender fingertips
stand proud in the glass
that is a braver poetry
than closing our eyes
to our own beauty

#422. shards

November 4, 2010

the light is dark
shining in the mirror
bringing facts revealing
truths bent by the mind
feeding shaping addicting us
to the life we live with no mercy
break it into pieces let the shards
fall where they may

left out is lonely
but leads to reflections
other than in the mirror
allowing me to look
in the mirror

up a red leaf
maple and small
that the crisp wind
brought announcing
softly winter

#406. mainely in my mind

October 16, 2010

its so funny
how crisp autumn
leads to change
returns thought
to creation dreams
of the road

finding the path once more
my boots turn away from home
towards the forests of living trees
the dying many colored leaves and far hills
and the honey golden hound who stops and gazes
back with puzzled tilted head soft eyes saying lets go

#405. autumn terrace report

October 13, 2010

fragment of summer
night stars
a brief piece of peace

the free joy cries of children
and the barking answers of dogs
with the scent of street vendor barbecue
tickling my nose i lean back and close my eyes
as you reach over and playfully gently tug my beard

casting about
no excuses
must face
my face
my face
must face
no excuses
casting about

distortions never lie
dormant my reflection
always seems to cry

the rain
drops millions
of mirrors endless
shattered hues and tints
all hinting at the gift of death

twirling in a sharp business suit
wild laughing possessed man
has lost or found it all
and it dont matter
one damn bit

refract and distort
or reflect and flip
turn left or right
each decision
a universe
in which we each
may live
just in time
