#393. a last walk

September 26, 2010

a last walk with the hound
across the footbridge steps
echo raw roar of the sea
gentle hush flower fields
scent the chill autumn
evening comes lights
the sky and instant
future once now
knowing peace
thru storms
as we hold
on course

#256. poetry

May 8, 2010

understanding
that burdens
are beauty
more poignant
than daffodils
and that truth
matters as much
as breath

then the words must flower
and flow

#247. one for stephanie

April 29, 2010

ram me hard
i have the room
for another bruise
turning to flowers
under my skin
it’s okay
water

#246. for mae

April 28, 2010

i wanna butterflower
for power and dreams

i wanna hold you bright
and now

may all yr sleep be deep
and fresh.

i remember yr eyes
blue not green
flecks of gold.

golden aroma
all over your space
soft little matzoh balls
flowers in a vase
carrots and broth
to bring a smile to your face

yiddishe alchemy
to move your Qi

#165. Th Woman (more)

February 6, 2010

Th woman
as
us as
me
to you
spirit fly
high.

as
whatever is
to be
liked
nurtured rose bushes
botched dish washing.

as no warning
meant here
love and lust to adjust
for us.

***

life
to hold in my arms
is to carry an entire universe
from room to room.
Avoiding the plants
and games
we go to bed.
Sip it slow.
Talk and we find out.
Dream and we find out.
Cry and we find out.

#161. Th Woman (more)

February 2, 2010

Th woman
whose heat
whose heartbeat.    as close as her
hands.
being doing something soft
the best now.

        ***

missing to.
night.
gone to work
it out.

       ***

Th woman
has warmth
a breakfast to make strength
of toast and coffee.
a whole day
apart.

       ***

as dreamed
to find the way of workplay
the song and color
full.

as dreamed        desire
as dream        work
as dreamt         flower
as dreamer         th woman.

#148. Wish List

January 20, 2010

To hold my sleeping grandchild
like an armful of blossoms.

For my right hand to understand
how to play guitar.

To know what my dozing dog
is dreaming.

For my friends to spend the Endless
together laughing and telling stories.

To chase my dreams without care
for thier completion.

For my poems to ride the waves of madness
like golden surfers.

#65. Step One

October 29, 2009

The tide rushes out
so does care and pain
all need to maintain mastery
evaporates
dew from grass to wind.

The deep blossomed flower
accents the bees probing
need without loss of self
actually benefits thrives
gains through loss.

An inner flame glows unattended
burns as a star when cultivated
fed with life’s debris
needing recognition to flower
rather than smother.

Hold a dandelion puffball in your palm
the wind controls
holding tight crushes the frail life
an open hand loses the fragile cathedral
but guarantees the radiant fearless moment.

Turn over and over the benefit
of the loss of control of the loss
of loss a gift for health life
and the gain of all to follow.

all blue
for sea border
on imperial purple
it must be
a flower
marble staircase
erupt
ions
