#537. earth day
April 22, 2012
when i see the earth
in a picture taken from space
i realize that the planet doesnt need humans
and may in fact be better off without us. save the earth?
it doesnt need saving, what we really mean is save our place on the planet.
if we destroy our place in the ecosystem (along with nearly
countless other species’ places) the earth
will survive and continue on its
evolutionary path thru time
without us.

thriving in the spring
alive in a rain of icy water
cannot be held back to stop the summer swimmer
i have always feasted on my own heart to turn the lonely pain lovely
it is the space between the words
splintered door jams line the way back down unmeeting conversations
unmeeting wishes the color of sea green loud echo
information coded so decoded
that the seasons blend
#535. walking is
March 27, 2012
concretally clopping poetess overtaking
my aged steps in the glinty glinty sunlighty and the roar
rah roar of hudson estuary revolution up
stream tasting the choco chocolahtidah hot sipping hot
steaming whistle whistle whistle through my
nose hairs occupy my consciously unsubconciously new york
#534. tell me white wing
March 14, 2012
her thought down the river
is the way home lies
dark white caps
slap pilings
draw me
to her
as we descend into dream
no cruelty will matter
only clear eyes
and a dance
to hold us
together
tell me white wing
where do you take me tonight?
#533. changes
March 7, 2012
living in two
lives and falling
into a deep third world
crashing in unknown dreams
time is kaleidoscope tantalizing
fragrant and clear and shattered
beat the mirrors into shards of rhythm
between the being and the process of being
which is dancing the sweet thin edge of sorrow
later the cold floor awakens me startling me feet
#531. the misfits
January 28, 2012
been looking for that girl all my life

imagine on mud made beach
voices of human birds
devolution body songs
ash returning to life oceans
pearl shell and shimmer
fish fighting with wind
cast about for tenderness

feeling time
the river branches around
all the ghosts becoming more and more
frequent riding the current down to the sea
