crash
all the way
down
petrified in the petri dish
we eat each other
and choke on
our waste
now
regard
the crashing
species
denying our own biology
doesnt matter as we
know from the lab
earth will live on
most of us
wont

mother
love
redfingers
daughters
clay
sons
damp
salt
straw
wine
charcoal
bread
kiln
pain
firing
work
bellows
weather
mortar
joy
house
shelter
home
wisdom
grandchildren

#219. spring brings

April 1, 2010

spring brings

me to the river

just like the tide brings

the drifting

castoffs

or

winter breakages

valued once

as something

useful

now it rots

unless a poem saves it

or

the drifter

reclaims it

for her dinner

#186. how (for linda

February 27, 2010

how life

how it reaches

how suffering

how it condenses

how joy

how it expands

how death

how it comes

# 168 Th Woman (more)

February 9, 2010

Th woman
as body
electric thread
hair to bury head thoughts
knees dimpled and flexible
on round legs
desired
breasts soft
enough to sleep
pillowed one larger than the other
eyes are gold tho blue
sometimes green
Behold!
a fine bottom
foundation to blend back
to back and neckline       (child soft
gone to groin to earth
sex lips twist
of lemon
O honey!
caressed to be known neverknown
as body.

***

secret
she fades.
no secret
any more.

#163. Cook & Wittgenstein

February 4, 2010

the hourglass may say
time is always running out
but actions speak loud
and the sand feels the gravity
of time and runs down
no matter how often the vessel
flips

of course wittgenstein challenges us
about our knowledge of anything

but historically i am with sam cook

i do know that i love you
and one and one are three
biomagically

#160. untitled angst

February 1, 2010

how life goes
from time to
time
is biology babe

creaky and tired-eyed
cranky old wolf tonight

#131. biology v. geology

January 3, 2010

our concept of time
based on children and death
so arbitrary
what is special time
species time is so limited

continents and earth plates are the sand we know are the rocks
fall on and off bigger stones
we bring all thoughts to the sea
where we can see enough to know
time only dances
time only
time

So bring yourself gently naked
to the knife edge of our portable bed
that floats in a sea
of our own come
and sweat and tears
that we shall create a storm.

And it is the storm
that floats cloudly
darkly
beneath your angel cream skin
which reminds me like distant thunder rumbling
and summer lightning
flickering
that love is no illusion
but rather the manifestation
of the ever mounting wave of ALL.
