#313. in dependence

July 4, 2010

dark and light play
in the eyes
neighborhood kids learning
the bullfrog is looking
for a way out
of the box

the lake reflects many fires
shining black and still
friends sit
now

the works sparkle
grand blossoms become
fewer trickling with the nights end
here

we leave the chairs on the beach
and walk home to bed

You create a vivid image of the scene….just excellent.

  2. last two lines are magical…
I love it when something ordinary is matched with decadent poetic phrasing.
